About the Role
MBN are partnering with a globally recognized bank to help them appoint a Senior Data Science Manager. You will manage a commercial unit that creates and develops machine learning algorithms that supports pricing and customer vulnerability.
In this role, you will manage a team of experienced Data Scientists, lead, and implement the Data Science strategy across the business area, implement new tools/processes and face off to all other senior data & commercial leaders within the business.
Skills & Experience Required
- You will bring an array of technical expertise (Supervised & Unsupervised Learning) having operated previously as a Data Scientist.
- Experience managing, leading, and coaching Data Scientists helping them improve their technical and communication skills.
- Technical knowledge of full model life cycle.
- Experience using Python and PySpark for the development of models.
- Knowledge of AWS and/or Sagemaker or other cloud platforms is highly advantageous.
- Developing comprehensive knowledge of data structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed for product development.
- Communicating effectively across the company to make business recommendations, influencing, and gaining business buy-in.
- Identifying new methods, tools, techniques, and opportunities to deliver business value via cost reduction, income generation or improved customer experience through the application of data science.
