A fantastic opportunity to join a growing Group Data & Analytics Office. As the Enterprise Data Architect you will be responsible for enhancing the effectiveness of how data is used across this FS organisation. You will provide Data Strategy, Data Management and Analytics capabilities. This person will play a critical leadership role responsible for bringing best practice in data architecture and emerging data technology trends to support the execution of the Data Transformation roadmap.
The expectations:
- Accountable for the delivery of the Enterprise Data Architecture and directing detailed Data Architecture for major transformation programmes.
- Key contributor to the data architecture target state including maintaining key architectural viewpoints (Data Management, Analytics/AI, MI/BI and Decisioning).
- Working with the Head of Data Strategy on mapping enabling Data Capabilities to the enterprise data architecture.
- Promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement for architectural principles, designs and patterns.
- Contributing to significantly upskilling key stakeholders on data literacy, data architecture and data commercialisation.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment to end-to-end domain architecture, docking into existing architecture design authority/boards where appropriate.
- Building strong business relationships with key stakeholders to understand their current challenges and be a champion for delivering a data architecture to solve their problems and democratise data.
- Chair of a significant internal Data group.
The Person:
- Excellent data design and enterprise-wide data architecture understanding and skills.
- Experience of designing data architectures for complex data integration and transformation programmes.
- Strong and demonstrable specialist knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, trends and standards, for example TOGAF and ArchiMate.
- Proven track record of leading a Data Architecture team on multi-vendor programmes and matrix led engagements.
- Strong knowledge of Data technology and concepts, including Azure Databricks, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Fabric, data pipelines, data security, MDM, data cataloguing, ML/AI & Analytics.
- Demonstrable knowledge of data & digital innovation trends, for example data architectures supporting GenAI and Customer Next Best Action/Personalisation.
