Our client is a global leader in premium and luxury travel, dedicated to helping travellers discover cultures, connect with people and experience unforgettable journeys, looking for a Business Development Manager.
The Role
As the Business Development Manager, you'll grow sales across the company brands, strengthen relationships with retail agent partners, and expand presence in key B2B and B2C markets. You'll champion their USPs, drive brand awareness, and execute a strategic sales plan that delivers passenger growth and revenue targets. This is a field-based role covering the North UK and Scotland (4 days on the road, 1 day WFH).
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop high-value B2B growth opportunities
- Build and execute business plans to maximise revenue
- Inspire and educate retail agents through seminars, workshops, webinars and fam trips
- Deliver engaging presentations to promote APT and Travelmarvel
- Track competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities
- Represent the company at trade shows, events, launches and conferences
- Manage sales budgets and ensure strong ROI
- Provide monthly market insights, product feedback and competitor analysis
About You
- 2+ years in Business Development or Account Management
- Travel industry sales experience (retail or wholesale)
- Confident, outgoing communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and organisational abilities
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to spot sales opportunities
- Tech-savvy, especially with PowerPoint
- Flexible with travel, evenings and weekends during peak periods
