URGENT - VAN Delivery Driver

Preston Full-Time No home office possible

We are recruiting experienced fast-paced courier drivers to work for us on behalf of YODEL. Due to insurance purposes, candidates must be over 25 years old.

This is a permanent role on a self-employed contract.

Loading from the Yodel depot in Preston, you will be delivering a minimum of 80 stops per day in the local area. The pay is on a per-stop basis – the more you deliver, the more you earn, and there are no restrictions on your earning potential!

Working days are Monday to Saturday with early starts, and the route is pre-planned for you. Owner van drivers are very welcomed, or we can provide you with a van at excellent rates.

Responsibilities:

Load vans and deliver packages, by driving, stepping in and out of the vehicle safely
Work on a self-employed basis
Adhere to all safety regulations on the road
Operate an electronic device for GPS and daily record

Requirements:

Minimum 12 months delivery experience. Full training provided to help you adapt to our procedures.
Due to insurance purposes, candidates must be over 25 years old.
Independent problem solver with good communication skills
The ability and will to use the stairs to deliver packages
Able to lift and deliver packages (up to 23 kgs.)
Hold a full UE/UK Driving License for at least 2 years with a maximum of 6 points / No IN10 (Insurance) or DR10 (Drink Driving) endorsements
