We are seeking an experienced, motivated Self-Employed Mortgage Adviser to provide high-quality, compliant mortgage and protection advice to clients across London. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven adviser who wants flexibility, strong earning potential, and the autonomy to grow their own client base while benefiting from established support, systems, and leads (if applicable).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide whole-of-market (or panel-based, if applicable) mortgage advice to residential and buy-to-let clients
  • Conduct thorough fact-finds to assess client needs, affordability, and suitability
  • Advise on a range of mortgage products including first-time buyer, remortgage, home mover, and specialist lending
  • Recommend associated protection products such as life insurance, critical illness, income protection, and home insurance
  • Manage client relationships from initial enquiry through to mortgage completion
  • Maintain accurate records in line with FCA compliance and GDPR requirements
  • Liaise with lenders, solicitors, estate agents, and other third parties
  • Keep up to date with lender criteria, market trends, and regulatory changes
  • Generate new business through referrals, networking, and introducer relationships (depending on setup)

Skills & Experience Required

  • Fully CeMAP qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a mortgage adviser in the UK market
  • Strong knowledge of the London property and mortgage landscape
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Confident using CRM systems and lender portals

Self-Employed Requirements

  • Registered as self-employed (sole trader or limited company)
  • Own PI insurance (or willingness to be covered under a network, if applicable)
  • Ability to meet FCA compliance standards
  • Right to work in the UK
