Job Description:

We’re seeking qualified social workers to join our Fostering team. Key tasks include supporting foster carers through supervision, completing Foster Carer Annual Reviews, attending Fostering Panel, managing allegations, supporting foster carer events, and aiding in training and service development.

As a Social Worker in the Fostering team, you should demonstrate excellent practice, share innovative ideas, and have knowledge of Secure Base and Attachment Theory, as well as the impact of developmental trauma on children and families. Extensive training and support are provided.

The ideal candidate is confident in assessment, communicates effectively, and collaborates with families, children, young people, and partners such as Children We Care For teams, Independent Reviewing, Health, and Education.

Applicants should have experience in relevant social work settings, be familiar with statutory guidance and legislation, and understand the fostering role and the challenges faced by carers, recognizing their importance to the wellbeing of looked after children.
