An established and growing independent financial planning firm is looking to appoint a T&C Officer to support and develop its Training & Competency function. The business currently supports over 40 Financial Planners and is continuing to grow through further acquisitions planned for 2026.
This is a remote position, with occasional travel to offices across the UK (typically once every 4–6 weeks).
You will work closely with the existing T&C Manager, helping to build out and strengthen the firm’s T&C framework. The role will be adviser-facing and focused on maintaining high standards of advice quality across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting new advisers and those working towards CAS
- Delivering training and development support to advisers at different stages of their careers
- Conducting file checks and quality reviews in line with regulatory and internal standards
- Carrying out virtual observations, sitting in on adviser/client video meetings and providing feedback
- Supporting advisers during acquisitions, including training on taking over existing client books
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of T&C processes
Candidate profile:
- Background within financial planning (paraplanning or compliance/T&C experience preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of FCA-regulated advice
- Comfortable in an adviser-facing role, delivering feedback, training and guidance
- Able to work remotely while managing workload independently
- Open to learning and development in areas where further training may be required
