We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly successful, independent financial planning firm that is looking to appoint a Senior IFA Administrator / Team Leader to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established yet ambitious business that currently manages approximately £300M in assets under management and has clear plans for significant future growth through organic expansion. As a result, there is excellent scope for long-term career progression and the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of the business.

The Opportunity

This is a hybrid position combining hands-on technical administration with team leadership responsibilities. You will provide high-level support to Financial Advisers while also taking on a supervisory role within the client support function. The business currently has a team of four administrators, with plans to expand and this role will be instrumental in helping to develop, guide and shape that team. You will act as a key link between the administration team and senior management, reporting directly to the Head of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-level IFA administration support to advisers
  • Overseeing the day-to-day workflow of the administration team
  • Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior team members
  • Acting as a key point of contact between administrators and senior leadership
  • Helping to implement and improve processes and efficiencies
  • Assisting with the growth and structure of the team as the business expands
  • Ensuring high standards of client service and compliance are maintained

About You

This role would suit either:

  • A Senior IFA Administrator looking to step up into a supervisory or team leader position, or
  • An existing Team Leader / Supervisor seeking a fresh challenge within a growing and forward-thinking firm

You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience within IFA / financial planning administration
  • A good technical understanding of financial planning products and processes
  • Previous experience supporting or mentoring team members (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive improvements
