Senior Recruitment Professional – Financial Services
Paraplanner – Central Birmingham (Hybrid, 1 Day in Office Minimum)
Salary: Up to £46,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
A leading UK wealth management firm with a strong presence in Birmingham is looking to appoint an additional Paraplanner to join their friendly and supportive team. You’ll be working closely with one or two Senior Financial Planners, providing high-quality technical and research support to ensure outstanding client outcomes.
This role offers the best of both worlds: a modern and flexible working arrangement (minimum 1 day per week in the central Birmingham office, with the rest from home after your initial training), alongside the backing of an established and respected financial services business.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing detailed suitability reports across a wide range of financial planning areas and products.
- Conducting technical research and ensuring advice meets client needs and regulatory standards.
- Supporting Senior Financial Planners in client meetings, including presenting cashflow modelling where required.
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring all compliance requirements are met.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the business to deliver efficient, high-quality service.
- Contributing to the achievement of business targets and continuous improvement of processes.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrable paraplanning experience with strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and tax planning.
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) (or equivalent) as a minimum, with a desire to progress towards Chartered status.
- Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills.
- Strong organisational ability, able to manage your own workload effectively.
- A collaborative, professional approach with a genuine focus on achieving the right outcomes for clients.
