I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing financial planning firm based in Staffordshire, who are looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner into a key, progressive role within the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner who enjoys working closely with clients and is keen to develop towards a Financial Planner position in the future.

The Role

  • Initially, the role will be predominantly paraplanning-focused, working very closely with a Senior Financial Planner across all client cases.
  • You will also have increasing client-facing responsibility, supported by dedicated administrators.
  • Over time, the role will evolve to include more involvement within client meetings and the delivery of advice elements.
  • Key responsibilities will include:
    • End-to-end paraplanning support across a broad range of financial planning cases
    • Attending client meetings alongside the Senior Financial Planner
    • Day-to-day client contact, including answering queries, taking phone calls and building strong client relationships
    • Preparing and presenting elements of advice within meetings (for example, cashflow modelling)
    • Liaising with administrators to ensure efficient case progression
    • Maintaining high standards of compliance, accuracy and client service

About You

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified as a minimum (essential)
  • Ideally working towards Chartered status (or with a clear intention to do so)
  • An experienced Paraplanner with strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and wider financial planning
  • Comfortable and confident communicating with clients
  • Keen to develop presentation and advisory skills over time
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and collaborative in your approach

Progression

There is a clearly defined long-term pathway into a Financial Planner role, including managing your own bank of clients, for the right individual.

The Package

  • Salary £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Company benefits package
  • Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home
  • Long-term career development and progression into Financial Planning

If you’re an experienced, Level 4 qualified Paraplanner looking for more client exposure and a genuine route into advice, this is a rare and exciting opportunity.
