An established and highly respected UK wealth management firm is looking to recruit an Investment Administrator to support Investment Managers within their Portfolio Management function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in financial services administration who is looking to develop their career within investment management, working in a professional, collaborative, and client-focused environment.
The Role
Reporting into senior members of the investment support team, you will provide high-quality administrative support to Investment Managers, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and positive client outcomes, while working within a regulated and compliance-led framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to Investment Managers and wider portfolio management teams
- Opening and closing client accounts and maintaining accurate client records
- Processing stock transfers, payments, and other account-related transactions
- Updating client and account data on internal systems
- Producing reports using Excel and internal data sources
- Supporting the preparation of client meetings, reviews, and presentations
- Arranging client meetings and drafting correspondence and file notes
- Assisting with ad-hoc projects and ongoing process improvements
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Building strong internal and external relationships through accurate and timely support
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in an investment administration / wealth management / financial services role
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Confident user of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Professional communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
- Understanding of working in a regulated environment (FCA awareness desirable)
