A highly respected wealth management business, operating within a well-established mid-tier professional services firm, is seeking an Investment Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an investment-focused individual looking to play a key role in shaping and delivering investment solutions to high-net-worth private clients, whilst working closely alongside experienced Financial Planners and senior leadership. Importantly, this is not a traditional client-facing Investment Manager role with direct responsibility for managing client relationships. Instead, the successful individual will focus on investment research, portfolio construction, and supporting the wider investment proposition of the business. The firm currently manages approximately £400 million in Assets Under Management.

The Role

  • Taking ownership of the research and construction of in-house investment solutions alongside the Chief Investment Officer
  • Supporting the ongoing development of the firm’s investment proposition and strategy
  • Working closely with Financial Planners to deliver tailored investment solutions for high-net-worth clients
  • Assisting with client acquisition and retention initiatives from an investment perspective
  • Representing the business externally where appropriate
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to produce investment and sales materials
  • Monitoring markets, portfolio performance, and wider economic trends

About You

  • Experience within a wealth management, discretionary investment management, or financial planning environment
  • Strong interest and passion for investments and financial markets
  • Approximately 4–5 years’ experience within financial services
  • Progress towards or completion of relevant investment qualifications such as IMC, CISI, or CII exams
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work closely with advisers and senior stakeholders

  • Salary likely to fall between £65,000–£90,000
