An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Financial Planner to join a highly regarded, independent wealth management firm. This role offers immediate responsibility for a well-established, high-quality client portfolio of circa 300 corporate clients, with the current adviser retiring within the next 12 months. The initial focus will be on relationship management, continuity, and client retention, ensuring a smooth transition before moving into a more growth-oriented phase.
Clients are predominantly based across the North M25 region (Essex, Hertfordshire, and surrounding areas). The role is primarily home-based, with most client interaction conducted via video, alongside some travel where required.
The Role
- You will provide specialist corporate financial planning advice, primarily focused on:
- Workplace pensions and employee benefit schemes
- Supporting employers with regulatory requirements and compliance
- Business protection, succession, and exit planning
- Profit extraction strategies and key person planning
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop an existing portfolio of corporate clients
- Deliver high-quality, compliant financial planning advice
- Conduct regular client reviews and adapt strategies as business needs evolve
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Identify opportunities to expand and develop the client book over time
- Collaborate with professional introducers (accountants, tax advisers, etc.)
- Ensure all advice meets FCA and regulatory standards
About You
- Diploma qualified (Level 4 minimum)
- Proven experience in corporate financial planning or employee benefits
- Strong understanding of pensions, group schemes, and business planning
- Ability to interpret company accounts and provide strategic advice
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills
- Commercially minded with a consultative approach
- Full UK driving licence required
