We are working with a highly regarded and growing Asset Based Lending provider who are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to take ownership of a diverse ABL client portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled ABL professional looking to join a supportive, well-structured, and forward-thinking lender offering long-term progression.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of ABL clients in line with corporate objectives and credit policies
- Building and maintaining senior/board-level client relationships to maximise retention
- Monitoring risk triggers and presenting recommended actions at Portfolio Management Meetings
- Conducting scheduled client visits, producing detailed visit reports and annual reviews
- Reviewing underperforming or watch-list clients and proposing remedial actions
- Analysing financial statements, forecasts and client submissions to ensure compliance with Finance Agreements
- Supporting pricing discussions and contributing to sustainable portfolio growth
- Liaising with external professionals (Accountants, Auditors, Lawyers) where appropriate
- Supporting the onboarding of new clients
- Representing the organisation with professionalism at all times
About You
- A proven background in ABL / Accounts Receivable finance
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
- A risk-focused approach with the ability to handle high-volume workloads
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly at senior level
- A professional, client-focused and resilient mindset
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- A relevant degree or professional qualification is desirable but not essential.
