Business Development Executive
Croydon | £35,000 to £45,000 plus commission & Benefits
We are working with a well-established commercial debt recovery firm to recruit a Business Development Executive for their Croydon office.
Our client works with businesses across a wide range of sectors to recover unpaid invoices and outstanding debt, and has built a strong reputation over a number of years for getting results where others don't. This is a growing business with a genuine appetite to expand its client base, and this role sits right at the centre of that.
THE ROLE
This is a new business role. You will be responsible for identifying and winning new clients, building relationships with businesses who need support recovering what they are owed, and managing those relationships once they are on board.
- Generating new business through outbound calls, email outreach and your own network
- Qualifying prospects and understanding their credit control and debt recovery requirements
- Presenting the firm's services and converting enquiries into signed clients
- Building and maintaining a strong pipeline, with accurate records and forecasting
- Working to agreed activity and revenue targets
- Maintaining relationships with existing clients to generate repeat instructions and referrals
WHO THIS WILL SUIT
- A track record in B2B sales or business development.
- Confident on the phone and comfortable with outbound prospecting
- Resilient, self-motivated and target-driven
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in debt recovery, credit control or financial services is an advantage but not essential, full training is provided
THE PACKAGE
- Basic salary of £35,000 to £45,000
- Commission based on performance
- Full benefits package
- Hybrid working with 3 in the office and 2 from home
