Salary
Circa £48,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working
4-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification

British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity
We have a phenomenal opportunity for an experienced Test Equipment Design Engineer to support production activities at our Bolton site. You will act as an interface between design and manufacturing teams, providing knowledge and support to ensure successful product and test equipment design and support.
This role offers a true engineering challenge within your core discipline(s), with scope for personal growth and development in other areas. Working within Production Design Support (PDS) is highly rewarding as you see designs come to life in manufacturing and help shape product and test equipment design to support our customers.
What we\’re looking for from you:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience in designing products/systems and supporting designs through manufacturing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to produce clear engineering documentation.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams, with a passion for innovation and collaboration.
- Ability to work autonomously, leading work packages and engaging stakeholders for successful delivery.
- Experience managing work bids, controlling costs, and delivering solutions.
- Investigative skills for root cause analysis and proposing corrective actions.
- Knowledge or experience across full product lifecycle.
- Willingness to support and mentor other engineers and technicians.
Proven experience in the design of disciplines such as:
- RF and Antenna Design
- Electrical Architecture
- Design for Safety and Integrity
- RF Test and Measurement Principles
