The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
Salary Circa £60,000 depending on experience. Dynamic (hybrid) working 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification. Security Clearance required for British Citizens or Dual UK nationals with British citizenship. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

The opportunity:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced systems safety engineer to lead the delivery of safety engineering outputs across the Common Anti-air Modular Missile (CAMM) family product range. Your role will involve central coordination between various teams including design engineers, project controllers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality Hazard Analyses, Safety Case Reports, Safety Panels, and other systems safety engineering outputs.
This role requires dedicated effort and leadership to consistently deliver safe-by-design assurance and excellent stakeholder management throughout the product development life cycle. You will decide what type of evidence will most cost-effectively show that the identified hazards have been mitigated to the customer’s satisfaction, balancing time and cost constraints to ensure a convincing safety case is constructed.
What we're looking for from you:
- Thorough understanding and experience of how hazard analysis and safety evaluation processes integrate with the system engineering process.
- Ability to deliver Safety Case Reports and supporting information (Hazard Analysis, Functional Failure Analysis, FTA, etc).
- Demonstrable knowledge of UK and International safety and systems engineering standards, especially Def Stan 00-056.
- Good knowledge of complex electronic systems and associated safety issues.
- Pro-active, self-starter with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary / multi-national team.
