Our client, a key partner to the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join a high-performing team developing cutting-edge defence technologies. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, drive innovation, and apply best practices to enhance product performance across complex missile systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced electronic solutions for weapon systems, ensuring product quality and performance standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide accurate cost and schedule updates to the project manager.
- Demonstrate expertise in electronic design from concept through to production, with a strong focus on Power and Analog Electronics at both sub-system and board level.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Software, Firmware, Mechanical, Environmental, and EMC teams to ensure design compliance with all technical requirements.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-performance missile solutions that meet client expectations and operational demands.
What do you need?
- Possess a degree and significant experience in Electronic Design, development, and delivery after completion qualification.
- Demonstrate your ability to lead major electronic design projects and show your experience working with a diverse team.
- Be aware of the challenges that may arise and show your understanding of handling them.
- Problem-solving skills and in-depth knowledge of various electronic technologies and products.
- Excellent communication skills, both in writing and speaking, enabling effective negotiation and influence with stakeholders across the organisation.
Security Clearance
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our client's Security Team.
This role is based at their headquarters in Stevenage, which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop. Training and development are offered to all employees.
