An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the dynamic and vibrant environment of Security Contracts!

Salary: up to £37,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically 2 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) after an offer.

The opportunity

Support the management of security clearances required for MBDA UK to hold governmental contracts and subcontracts, supporting domestic and international business.

You will be part of a small team processing requests to the MOD and dealing with day‑to‑day enquiries in relation to Security Contracts, including security Aspect letters, private venture grading and exhibition requests. You will also support the Security Contracts Manager in implementing the Security Contracts Strategy.

The role will involve completing and accurately recording security data and clearance requests, whilst supporting the wider business in acquiring security clearances for their teams.

You will be a point of contact for internal customers regarding security contract enquiries and liaise with the UK MOD and other external agencies when appropriate.

Risk mitigation is key to the role.

What we’re looking for from you

  • Experience working in the Security and Defence industry, or similar industries dealing with classified contracts and security risk management.
  • Ability to act with the strictest confidence regarding Security and Contracts data; integrity is paramount.
  • Professional, meticulous approach with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to challenge, negotiate and problem‑solve when required.
  • IT competency, including Excel and Word, and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Willingness to learn new standards and processes to apply best‑practice security.

Desirable, but not essential

  • Awareness and knowledge of classified Security contracts, including the F1686, F680 and Security Aspects Letters process.
  • Security awareness for the ongoing aftercare of security contracts.
  • Presentational experience for the delivery of training.
