Henlow An exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team to support the EE&F test equipment & facilities!
Salary Circa £65,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working 4 - 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
We're seeking a driven leader to be accountable for the safe and continued operation of EE&F test equipment and calibration activities. The M&C Facilities team leader will manage a multi-disciplinary team that spans maintenance, calibration, fixture design and lab support.
In this leadership role, you will:
- Be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of EE&F test equipment within world-class laboratories at Stevenage and Henlow
- Work alongside Facilities Management (FM) to maintain building infrastructure and lab facilities, including management of external contractors and servicing
- Lead a team (typically 7-8 engineers), managing resources, risks and budgets
- Gain experience of working alongside a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Drive process improvements and support the Head of M&C Test in developing capabilities
- Support H&S Manager / Quality Lead to ensure process and equipment compliance
You’ll bring strong project management expertise, a solid understanding of test equipment and the ability to guide a team in a fast-paced engineering environment.
What we’re looking for from you:
Essential
- Strong technical background in maintenance of test equipment and facilities
- Experience of maintenance and service contracts
- Effective planning & project management
- Effective leadership skills (interpersonal and influencing)
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Understanding of wider project and company strategy
Desirable
- Knowledgeable of the test methods used to perform environmental tests (vibration, shock, thermal, humidity, low pressure etc.)
- Experience of supporting capex process
- Experiences with calibration processes
- Health & Safety background
