This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electronics Technician to provide hands-on support to our Electronic Design Engineers in testing and fault-finding cutting edge technology on a daily basis.
Salary: Circa £33,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: The majority of this role will require an on-site presence. However, where the opportunities arise, dynamic working will be supported.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Analogue and Digital Electronics Technician to be part of our highly skilled team that develops and manufactures electronics sub-systems for MBDA's products that encompass Missile Computers, Actuation Systems, Data Links, Telemetry Systems, Seekers as well as supporting research and development activities.
This role offers you the chance to develop your electronics engineering skills in support of the design and manufacture of our leading edge products. It will encompass a broad spectrum of engineering tasks, including support to production test, test development, prototyping, fault finding, qualification testing, trials, acceptance testing and data analysis. For the right candidate, it will provide scope for further growth and career development within the Production Design Support function.
What we are looking for from you:
- Ideally HNC qualified or above, qualified in a relevant electronics / electrical discipline, with a strong understanding of electronics and basic maths.
- You will have experience of the design environment and the development process
- Experience in a production support role is an advantage, but not essential
- You will have some familiarity with test and fault finding on a range of technologies (including the operation of oscilloscopes, waveform generators, dataloggers and spectrum analysers) which would include a number of the following: Analogue, Digital, RF, Optical and Safety.
- You will have familiarity with the development process and understand the logistics of kitting parts and progressing through prototyping processes.
- You will have good report writing skills, with the ability to keep accurate records.
