An exciting role for an enthusiastic and driven Facilities Management professional has arisen within the MBDA Facilities department to support the delivery of their major Bristol Site development programme on a 2 year fixed term contract. This will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their construction project management skills through overarching responsibility for site logistics and the delivery of discrete packages of work.
Salary: Circa £47,500 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Typically 4 days a week with the ability to work remotely when appropriate.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity: You will be part of a small dynamic team of Facilities Project Managers and this role will support the major programmes focusing on day-to-day site logistics and managing the occupation of these new developments. This is a critical role to ensure the site operates well throughout this exciting period and the new buildings are taken into operation in a professional and compliant fashion. The successful candidate must have a desire to create excellent working environments for MBDA staff; with a focus on timely project delivery whilst ensuring and maintaining a quality output.
What we're looking for from you:
- Someone with good experience of Facilities Management who is looking to develop their skills in the delivery of FM Construction Projects.
- Some experience in project management is preferred, with an understanding of delivering projects within an operational site.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills and be able to influence accordingly.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and "customers".
- Working knowledge of project management software tools is preferred.
- Excellent people management skills and be able to foster strong relationships with stakeholders, providing regular project updates.
- To implement efficient problem-solving strategies to address project challenges and ensure "customer" satisfaction.
