Join the Land Ceptor team and work to support the British Army in realising the full potential of its latest Ground Based Air Defence capability and tailoring this capability for the needs of emerging export customers. You will be building on world-class design: incorporating new ideas, functionality and technology to deliver to our customers.
Salary: Circa £48,000-£53,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity: As part of the Physical Systems Design & Certification team, you will help manage the overall physical functionality and certification of the in-service system while supporting the evolution of the weapon system for future customers.
What we're looking for from you:
- A highly motivated self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team on a number of varied tasks
- A good understanding of systems engineering principles, processes and practices
- An appreciation of requirements engineering at System, Subsystem or Component level
- Knowledge associated with the design and build of hardware
- Awareness of test procedures required to verify products and the gathering of evidence to enable certification (experience working with defence standards, Mil Spec, etc. ideal, especially environmental and EMC)
- Experience preparing and conducting ground trials and gathering evidence from physical activities would be advantageous
- Confidence in presenting technical engineering information and promoting decision making
- Experience of technical report writing and use of configuration management tools
- A logical approach to problem solving
