Environmental Engineering & Facilities are looking for a Maintenance engineer to join our Mechanical and Climatic Test Department!
Salary: Circa £52,500 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity: You will work closely with our other Maintenance engineers to maintain all of our test equipment across the department. This will include electrodynamic shakers, bearings, pumps, thermal chambers and other systems.
EE&F is a dynamic and engaging function. We have a high on-site presence due to the nature of our work. The Mechanical and Climatic Test Department is made of around 35 engaged and collaborative engineers. You will be a core part of this active team and get lots of hands-on experience in our test lab. We are a growing department and in the next 12 months we will see our new facility, 4500 complete construction and commissioning. Now is a great time to join the department and be part of delivering new facilities and capability.
What we're looking for from you:
Essential: Practical experience of maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment. Awareness of Environmental Engineering tests and equipment.
Desirable: Experience with CREO or other CAD tools. Experience conducting thermal modelling. Experience maintaining electrodynamic shakers. Experience maintaining refrigeration systems. Experience with hand tools and power tools.
