Environmental Engineering & Facilities is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Mechanical and Climatic Test Department. Salary is circa £52,500, depending on experience. The role is dynamic and hybrid, requiring presence on-site five days per week.
Security clearance: British citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship. All successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

Responsibilities:
- Maintain all test equipment across the department, including electrodynamic shakers, bearings, pumps, thermal chambers and related systems.
- Collaborate closely with other maintenance engineers.
- Provide hands‑on support and experience in the test lab.
- Support the department’s growth, including a new facility expected to be completed and commissioned within the next 12 months.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Practical experience of maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Awareness of Environmental Engineering tests and equipment.
Desirable:
- Experience with CREO or other CAD tools.
- Experience in thermal modelling.
- Experience maintaining electrodynamic shakers and refrigeration systems.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
