An opportunity has arisen for a Safety, Health & Environmental Officer to join our MBDA team.
Salary:Circa £35,000 dependent on experience + bonus + benefits
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Typically 3 days on-site each week
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are led by the MBDA Personnel Security Team

The opportunity:
Are you a dynamic and driven Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) professional passionate about driving continual improvement and helping to develop a strong SHE culture across our UK-wide sites? This is your chance to join the MBDA team as a SHE Officer, a challenging but rewarding role that will see you actively crafting, developing, and delivering impactful SHE training to our workforce across all our UK sites.
You\’ll be the driving force behind our SHE training program, ensuring our employees have the knowledge and skills to work safely and effectively. You will also be a key player in coordinating SHE campaigns and themes of the month, helping to shape our company\’s SHE culture. You\’ll get to collaborate with site SHE Advisors, and work closely with a number of departments across the business, including engineering, manufacturing, and facility maintenance. This is an opportunity to gain experience in a challenging and crucial sector, making a real impact on the safety of our UK-wide operations.
What we’re looking for from you:

Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (level 6 preferred).

Ideally a certificate in Environmental management.

Excellent communication skills to influence and engage employees at all levels, translating complex information into easily understandable formats.

A broad understanding of manufacturing and laboratory technologies, along with knowledge of SHE legislation, is key to success in this role.

Significant experience and expertise in Safety, Health, Environment.
