Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience

  • Develop new Flying Probe test packages using the SPEA 4050S2 test system, following a documented development process from circuit card data‑pack to deployable package.
  • Correct and improve existing test packages to accommodate product changes and enhance yield through statistical analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross‑team groups, diagnosing faults down to component level on analogue and digital PCB assemblies using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and other test equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or a BEng/BSc in a relevant Engineering/Technical Degree.
  • Formal further education certificate to Level 4 (HNC or equivalent).

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in Electronics Test & Diagnosis – strong theoretical and practical understanding of electrical/electronic measurement, test principles and fault diagnosis techniques for sub‑assemblies and PCBs.
  • Engineering Documentation – ability to interpret detailed schematics and drawings, with experience writing operator instructions and engineering manuals desirable.
