Role Overview

You will act as part of the design team as one of the main interfaces to our manufacturing teams while working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support.

The role offers a true engineering challenge in your core discipline(s) and provides scope for personal growth and development in other areas of electronics.

Working within design support is highly rewarding as you not only see designs coming to life in the manufacturing environment but you can help to shape the design of these products to deliver support to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with manufacturing teams to support product designs.
  • Provide knowledge and support to other support engineers.
  • Guide design to align with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Identify root causes of design-related issues and propose robust corrective actions.
  • Lead the delivery of work assignments and actively engage with stakeholders.
  • Write clear and concise engineering documentation.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience designing products/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase.
  • Proven experience in digital and analog electronics.
  • Investigative skills to find root causes of design-related issues and propose robust corrective actions.
  • Prepared to work autonomously, lead delivery of work assignments, and actively engage with stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, supporting and resolving manufacturing issues, and implementing Design for Manufacture improvements into the design.
