A fantastic opportunity for a Systems Engineer to work on a key multinational project for next generation weapon systems. If you are a Systems Engineer who wants to use architecture principles, tools and techniques to provide technical solutions for projects from very early in their development lifecycle, operating in the solution space, this could be the role for you.
Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience.
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 - 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. After offer stage, successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
Responsibilities
- Join a department with a team of highly skilled Weapon System Architects working across MBDA UK’s current and future weapon systems, focused on growth and developing a team of high-performing System Architects.
- Work as a member of the STRATUS LO project team, reporting to and working closely with the STRATUS LO Weapon System Architecture Lead.
- Contribute to a key multi-national (UK, France and Italy) next generation cruise-missile weapon system development project for MBDA.
- Apply architecture principles, modelling and model-based systems engineering approaches to provide technical solutions from early development through to deployment, in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Engage in agile thinking and lifecycle engineering to meet challenging technical scope and delivery timescales.
What we’re looking for
- Systems Engineer/Architect with an understanding of complex systems (ideally Weapon/Missile Systems), constituent sub-systems, platforms, and their systems architecting.
- Practical experience modelling systems using model-based methods, processes and tools with an understanding of the system development lifecycle.
- Ability and cultural awareness to work with multi-disciplinary, multi-national teams supporting technology and design collaboration and communication.
- Self-belief, confidence and conviction to identify and pursue ideas, while being supportive and team oriented.
- Ability to clearly present, communicate and walk through concepts and technical content to internal and external stakeholders, technical and non-technical.
What’s in it for you
