MBDA is recruiting Software Engineers for the Software Resource and Capability Team, focusing on Test Equipment Software. Candidates will help develop and support software packages that use Test Equipment hardware to configure, verify and validate the conformance and quality of MBDA UK products from development, through production and into field test scenarios. The role contributes to product certification, manufacturing output and support activities within a dynamic, agile, multi‑disciplined team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support reliable, high‑performance, standardised, and documented software for test solutions.
- Write software in languages such as C, C++ and C# (Python experience is a plus).
- Analyse and design solutions, including review and critical analysis, employing a flexible, “can do” attitude.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders, including Systems Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, and Test & Validation teams.
- Contribute to novel products where the software produced is time‑critical and mission‑critical.
Qualifications
- Software or electronics engineering background with transferable talent into software development for test solutions.
- Strong ability to write software in C, C++ or C#.
- Motivation to develop and support reliable, high‑performance software.
- Excellent analytical and design ability.
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach.
Working Conditions
- Salary: £40,000 – £75,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid working: 3 to 4 days a week in the office.
- Security clearance: British Citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship. BPSS checks required.
- Flexi‑leave: up to 15 additional days; flexible working arrangements available.
