Salary: Circa £60,000 depending on experience.

The opportunity
An experienced Manufacturing Planning and Control Manager is needed based at the MBDA UK site in Bolton. The MP&C Manager reports directly into the Head of Operations and is responsible for leading a Manufacturing Planning and Control team within a business unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide Leadership and support to the MP&C Team.
- Development of the MPS in line with the agreed production schedule.
- Management of the MPS within SAP enabling production and material orders.
- Work collaboratively with the supply chain manufacturing teams to ensure consistent end-to-end planning and validation of material supply plans.
- Contribute to the creation and delivery of the manufacturing supply chain strategy end-to-end planning cycle.
- Act as technical and cultural lead for MP&C focusing on process improvement and performance of the manufacturing supply chain.
- Champion the development of new tools, processes, skills and KPIs for the MP&C function.
- Provide inputs and facilitation to ensure the effective delivery of the S&OP process.
- Development and support of SAP functionality ensuring MRP integrity and the automation of performance reporting from SAP data.
- Take ownership of manufacturing planning processes and system improvements ensuring MRP operating principles and rules are adhered to.
- Work with system analysts and SMEs to develop new system reports and processes that lead to simplification and enhanced business planning.
- Support the Manufacturing Operations teams to ensure accurate customer commitments, OTD and consistent end-to-end planning.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Supply Chain Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- APICS supply chain certification desirable but not essential.
- Experience in the use of SAP or equivalent MRP system essential.
- Ability to make decisions and direct a team to achieve organisational goals.
- Previous experience of managing a team.
- Ability to influence and drive change.
