Role Overview
We are seeking a Strategic Procurement Domain Manager to develop procurement strategies for sourcing and delivering equipment and services that support MBDA UK’s domestic and export programmes.
The role requires building senior supplier relationships, managing key internal collaborators, and delivering a forward‑looking strategic sourcing plan aligned with the business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for allocated equipment and services.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Analyse supply market, capability, cost and programme drivers to advise on procurement direction.
- Apply a focused Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework in strategic engagements.
- Track and report supplier performance and alignment to technology trends.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and procurement best practices.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, legislation and standard methodology.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain role, ideally in Defence, Aerospace or a similar contracting environment.
- Evidence of innovation and implementation of standard procurement processes.
- Strong analytical, financial and operational delivery skills.
- Degree qualified in a business field or relevant procurement/supply‑chain accreditation.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (2–3 days on‑site per week).
- BPSS security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
Compensation & Working Arrangements
- Salary: Circa £48,000‑£53,000, depending on experience.
- Hybrid working: 2–3 days per week on‑site.
- Security clearance: BPSS checks post‑offer.
