An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Co-ordinator to join the Calibration & Maintenance team, delivering support, services and measurements to MBDA and its customers.
Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience
Hybrid working pattern: 4 days per week on-site, due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
We are seeking a technical co-ordinator to join the Calibration and Maintenance team at our Stevenage site. The main focus of the role will be to manage external service providers to ensure timely maintenance and calibration activities are carried out on MBDA owned test equipment. Working as part of a small Control Team within the wider Calibration & Maintenance department, you will produce and review technical reports for calibrated and serviced equipment, ensuring they conform to MBDA requirements.
Key areas of responsibility are as follows:
- Managing external calibrations and equipment repairs with service providers including reviewing technical calibration certificates to ensure they conform to MBDA's requirements.
- Managing of service contracts for MBDA owned equipment, including the introduction of contracts for new equipment.
- Management of critical spares; deploying critical spares packages and managing calibration requirements to minimise downtime to production.
- Providing SAP training and producing documentation for calibration and maintenance specific activities for the wider MBDA functions.
What we are looking for from you:
- Minimum qualification: at least HNC.
- Experience and knowledge of mechanical and electrical measurement techniques.
- Working knowledge of the SAP (Systems Applications and Products in data processing) enterprise resource planning system, Sharepoint and JIRA.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience in creating and managing service contracts with external suppliers would be an advantage.
- Whilst not essential, a good understanding of calibration principles and processes would be beneficial.
- The ability to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
