Salary Circa £60,000 depending on experience.

Working Arrangements: Hybrid - Minimum of 3 days per week on-site.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. After offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

Opportunity: This role involves developing requirements, supporting procurement and managing delivery of facilities and construction works across MBDA Stevenage and other Southern sites. On larger scale works, the role includes establishing external consultant teams and managing them as the client’s representative through all design and project delivery stages. Part of a dynamic team based at Stevenage with major site redevelopment works. There will also be activities at the Bristol site, offering travel opportunities across MBDA sites. Fixed term contract for 2 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate business critical construction and facilities projects, ensuring timely and within-budget deliveries.
  • Develop project requirements with stakeholders, support procurement and produce cost business cases to enable senior management funding approval.
  • Manage projects up to £10 million in value, focusing on those supporting MBDA UK’s growing business demands.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate with internal teams and oversee external contractors to achieve milestones; have key understanding of RIBA stages of project delivery.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments, ensuring compliance with MBDA’s high standards and regulations.
  • Utilise project management expertise to navigate projects, oversee quality control and manage risks effectively.
  • Have excellent people management skills, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborating with executive and director-level colleagues.
  • Implement efficient problem-solving strategies to address challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in project management with a track record in delivering projects within an operational site.
  • Proficient in managing construction projects, particularly focused on H&S.
  • Excellent project management skills, able to lead and coordinate teams effectively.
  • Strong financial acumen, skilled in project budgeting and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills and able to influence accordingly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Proficient in using project management software tools.
  • Be at the forefront of business development projects, contributing to critical upgrades and improvements.
