An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Engineering Team Lead to work within the growing Calibration & Maintenance department.
Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience
Working Arrangement: Dynamic (hybrid) working – 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity: This opportunity is for an Electronics Engineering Team Lead to join the Calibration & Maintenance department at Stevenage, which is part of the Manufacturing functional organisation. The Calibration & Maintenance Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for leading a growing team of engineers and technicians, calibrating and repairing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) test and measurement equipment within our laboratories using manual and automated calibrations with Fluke METCAL software. Knowledge of calibration requirements, calibration controls and equipment capabilities is critical, as is working closely with other stakeholders within and outside the calibration department.
What we're looking for from you:
- Minimum HNC/HND qualification or equivalent in a relevant electronics engineering subject.
- Proven people manager experience.
- Sound technical knowledge of test and measurement equipment, both theory and practical.
- A strong understanding of calibration principles.
- Demonstrated experience leading audits and managing compliance to relevant standards.
- Experience working with external stakeholders and managing workload.
- A working knowledge of SAP and JIRA would be an advantage.
