Are you a reliability engineer looking for new opportunities to apply your skills and broaden your experience? Look no further than MBDA. A great opportunity has opened up for an engineer to utilise their reliability skills to influence the reliability aspects of technically sophisticated and exciting products.
Salary : Up to £60,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working : 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance : British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity:
As a reliability engineer, understanding the system and its operating context is crucial to mitigating reliability risks. The goal is to ensure a convincing reliability case is constructed, while balancing time and cost constraints. This role requires pragmatism and a solid appreciation that reliability results from good engineering, not just compliance with numerical targets and ensuring the customer\’s satisfaction by using a range of techniques and approaches to provide the most cost-effective evidence. The role requires ensuring that optimum effort is committed to progressive reliability assurance, with the goal of delivering a lean but effective reliability program.

What are we looking for?
- Good knowledge of complex electronic systems and the associated reliability issues (but other engineering subject areas may be considered for candidates with the right strengths in other areas).
- Ability to deliver Reliability Case Reports and the supporting information (FMECA, reliability prediction, etc). Experience of more recent reliability prediction methodologies, such as FIDES, would be an advantage.
- Fully appreciates that reliability is not just a number, and has experience of reliability planning, analysis and testing during development.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the relationship between the reliability life-cycle and the system engineering processes.
- Track record as an effective teammate with strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary / multi-national team.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good verbal, written communications analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ideally degree qualified or equivalent
