Job Title: Service Operations Manager
Salary: Circa £70000 depending on experience
Location: Stevenage, Bolton, Bristol
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1-2 days per week on-site depending on business requirements.
Security Clearance: British Citizen
This role will require DV Clearance. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

We are looking for a detail orientated experienced service operations manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have broad experiences in workplace & infrastructure technologies balanced with the ability to motivate, constructively challenge & ensure accountabilities are achieved.
Responsibilities for the role include leading the continuous delivery of workplace & infrastructure technical operations ensuring effective, reliable and performant operations meeting our evolving business needs. You will oversee and drive forward vulnerability management across our workplace and infrastructure ensuring proactive risk mitigation, compliance with security standards and continuous improvement to safeguard MBDA operations.

What we\’re looking for from you:
- Demonstrated experience in managing, mentoring and developing an IT team.
- Skilled in making effective decisions under pressure, with the ability to quickly resolve escalated issues & problems.
- Very Good experience of workplace & infrastructure technology & services including compliance, improvement & innovation.
- Proven leadership and hands on team management skills across diverse disciplines, international teams and including those in supplier partnerships
- Strong knowledge of data centre / computer room management including capacity, service, incident & asset management
- Strong proven experience managing Microsoft technologies including Windows OS, Exchange, Active Directory & Group Policy.
- Broad knowledge of IT technologies such as servers, storage & infrastructure applications
- Good & proven understanding cyber security threats and response strategies
- Software management & optimisation expertise in contracts such as the Microsoft Enterprise & Oracle agreements
- Experience of working successfully in a multi-cultural environment e.g.., international working, harmonisation and standard setting.
