Job Responsibilities:
You will provide technical oversight of the team's work, ensuring the team develops viable mechanical conceptual designs and acts as the primary mechanical engineering interface with key stakeholders on the project. You will track budgets, workloads, and ensure tasks are delivered on time. As team lead you will provide day-to-day management support, and be responsible for the development and performance management of the team. This role offers a fast-paced environment working on novel and disruptive technologies within Sparkworks and serves as an initial step toward a management role.
Qualifications:
Experience in mechanical design, early technology development, ideally taking parts through from conceptual design, through development and certification, and people & project management experience. Relevant 3D CAD/CAE experience (training on our preferred CAE tools will be given). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work with, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders across the business.
