Here at MBDA, our Land Ceptor Systems Engineering team is growing in order to help the British and Polish Armies fulfil the full potential of the system and to extend and tailor the capability for existing and emerging export contracts.
Salary: Up to £57,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity: We are seeking a highly motivated Verification & Validation (V&V) and Certification Engineer to support the development and certification of Land Ceptor Weapon System to support the UK and Poland programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing evidence and documenting verification and validation against the requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with requirements management, and the ability to assess certification evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working as part of the certification team to capture and review evidence, conduct technical investigations and support the delivery of Certificate of Designs to enable customer deliveries.
- Reviewing technical documentation in support of functional evidence.
- Review and agree Design Verification Plans (DVP).
- Design reconciliation activities associated with design change and obsolescence.
- Work within a multi-discipline engineering team (e.g. Systems, mechanical, electrical, software etc.).
- Identify verification gaps, track issues, and support corrective actions.
- Support certification activities by preparing and reviewing compliance documentation, verification reports, and evidence.
- Drive process improvement through efficient ways of working and automation.
What we're looking for from you:
- Experience with IBM Rational Doors Classic.
- Proven ability to analyse evidence and assess compliance against requirements.
- Knowledge of Verification & Validation (V&V) processes and methodologies.
- Experience preparing compliance documentation and certification evidence.
