Here at MBDA, our Land Ceptor Systems Engineering team is growing to help the British and Polish Armies fulfil the full potential of the system and extend and tailor the capability for existing and emerging export contracts. The role offers a salary of up to Β£57,000 depending on experience. Work is dynamic (hybrid): three days per week on-site due to workload classification. Candidates must hold British citizenship or be a dual UK national with British citizenship. All successful candidates will be required to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

The opportunity
The recent commencement of the NAREW export contract for Poland, alongside the support of the British Army system and the production of systems for other contracts, has created a need for the Land Ceptor functional development team to grow and support this varied portfolio. As a Systems Engineer, you will be involved in:
- Helping the customer understand and capture their needs
- Deriving suitable system, subsystem and software requirements to meet those needs
- Informing product line approaches to allow a common suite of products to meet different customer needs
- Determining and managing processes and procedures to manage change in a controlled way
- Acting as customer for specific software items
What we're looking for from you
- Requirements management and derivation experience, ideally in defence
- Experience with system engineering tools such as DOORS/DOORS NG/Rhapsody
- Ability to disseminate/share technical information to customers in an understandable manner
- Engineering change control and management experience
- Ability to initiate, undertake and drive trade studies and system development activities
- Experience developing complex systems, ideally in defence
- Ability to communicate architectures and ideas at all levels
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with product lines would be beneficial
