With mentoring and support from an experienced specialist, you will continue to build your technical capability and confidence within the role. Furthermore, you will play a key role in our outward-facing presence by managing the transition of technical trials data into high-impact assets for promotional purposes, ensuring our successes are communicated effectively to stakeholders and external customers, while developing an understanding of how complex technical content is adapted for wider audiences. This role offers unique travel opportunities, supporting trials at various UK ranges and international test locations alongside our project teams, providing excellent exposure to live trials and multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the engineering community with expertise and advice on how to plan and achieve the right technical imagery and evidence to meet their requirements.
  • Travel to various domestic and international trial sites to provide on-site technical support.

  • Technical Precision: Exposure to high-speed cinematography and technical photography, with an interest in developing deeper expertise.
  • Media Knowledge: A good understanding of RAW video workflows; experience working with 3D and 360-degree video capture and processing.
  • Operational Agility: The ability to adapt to changing trial schedules and respond positively to last-minute requirements to ensure data collection is never compromised.
  • Collaboration: A proactive approach to working with project teams and learning how to plan imagery requirements effectively.
  • Security & Media Aware: An awareness of security classifications and the importance of appropriate media handling.

Candidates will also need a full clean UK driving licence and flexibility in working times and days to support relevant trials and development activities.

Company benefits and working arrangements

  • Salary: Up to circa £40,000 depending on experience.
  • Dynamic (hybrid) working: Variable; work will generally be on MBDA sites or at trials ranges due to the nature of the role and data classification. There will be opportunities for working from home as workload allows.
  • Security Clearance: British Citizen restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG SC Security Clearance checks, which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

  • Discounts & lifestyle benefits: various vouchers, retailer discounts, and lifestyle programs
  • Holiday purchase: option to purchase up to 5 extra days
  • Dynamic Working: We want our people to work when and where they feel they can be most effective. For most employees, there is a flexi-time scheme, with opportunities to work from home where appropriate. Up to 15 days of Flexi-leave per annum in addition to 25 days of annual leave.
  • Security Clearance: All MBDA employees are required to hold UK Security or BPSS Clearance.
