In this Senior Data Engineer role, you will design enterprise-wide data and BI solutions by integrating data from diverse sources across engineering, simulation, production, and other domains. You will build scalable data pipelines and data platforms, implement governance and security aligned with defence requirements, and drive DataOps in hybrid/on-prem environments. This is a hands-on, impact-oriented role that supports decision-making through analytics and governed data assets. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge data technologies within a respected defence organisation.
Pay / Benefits
- Capture needs and deliver end-to-end data solutions across technical and business domains
- Build scalable ETL/ELT and streaming pipelines from simulators, HIL/SIL benches, MES/SCADA, ERP, and PLM
- Architect data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, and time-series stores
- Develop Power BI analytics for self-service, KPI monitoring, and executive reporting
- Define data models, governance, quality, lineage, and security aligned with defence requirements (ITAR/EAR, cybersecurity)
- Drive DataOps: CI/CD, monitoring, CaaS (Container as a Service) integration on hybrid/on-prem environments
Tasks
- Experience in data engineering, ideally aerospace/defence or industrial sectors

- Strong Python and SQL; C++, C#, or MATLAB a plus
