Scope of Responsibility
- Lead all aspects of IT spend across the Group: Enterprise Software, Engineering Software, Manufacturing Software, SaaS, Services, Cyber, Networks, Hardware, Security, AI, High Performance Computing, etc.
- Specialise in one area, develop into new ones, and broaden knowledge over time.
- Travel and international working is part of the role.
- Participate in regular quarterly team meetings rotating between sites in the UK, Germany, Italy, and Paris; may also travel for stakeholder or supplier meetings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Established IT procurement practitioner or proficient in indirect categories with a willingness to learn IT procurement.
- Soft and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in an international context.
- Ability to build internal and international relationships.
- Ability to own and run large procurement projects supporting Category Managers.
- Willingness to pursue or work toward MCIPS qualification.
Benefits and Working Conditions
- Salary: circa £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience.
- Dynamic (hybrid) working – 2 to 3 days per week on‑site.
- Security clearance required: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship; HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) necessary.
- Company bonus: up to £2,500 (based on company performance).
- Pension: up to 14% total contribution (employer plus employee).
