Working as a Business Support Officer (BSO) within the Programmes Export Operations team, you will provide administrative and operational support to the management team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pro-active, accurate and comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Management and training team.
  • Manage complex diaries, extensive travel arrangements and expenses.
  • Organise meetings, events, workshops, training days, and participate when required.
  • Take and manage actions, create and maintain MS Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, MS One Note and MS Word documents accurately.
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Assist new starters, raise purchase requisitions and process invoices using MBDA online tools.
  • Understand and utilise MBDA systems, tools and policies.
  • Support UKSF activities such as participation and contribution to working groups.
  • Tasks may be varied and ad-hoc in scope.

Experience

  • Experience in a similar Business/Admin Support role; managing complex diaries, organising meetings, events and travel arrangements.
  • Exhibit a high level of resilience, communication, organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Forward thinking, looking to improve efficiencies in working practices and processes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, OneNote).
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage your own workload effectively.
  • Enthusiastic team player, demonstrating integrity and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Willingness to learn and extend the role above and beyond the job description.

Salary & Working Arrangements

  • Salary: Circa £28,000 depending on experience.
  • Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2–3 days per week on-site.
  • Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
  • All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
