Software Project Leader – Embedded Software, MBDA, Bristol
Lead a team of professional engineers specialists in real‑time software development and be responsible for the development and delivery of software for embedded missile systems on time, on cost, and on quality. Work closely with multi‑disciplined teams to ensure technical excellence in the software produced.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of software developers.
- Ensure the application of software development plans to the development cycle.
- Provide regular progress reports.
- Work with stakeholders at all levels and across different nationalities.
- Ensure cost control and delivery of software.
- Apply stakeholder management and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Strong ability to lead a team of software developers.
- Effective communication skills with people at all levels and across a range of mediums.
- Good understanding of software development processes to provide effective management oversight.
- Project management skills to plan, deliver, and control cost of software.
Preferred Experience
- Understanding of technologies used in real‑time embedded software development.
- Experience with SysML/UML and C, C++ or Ada languages.
- Experience working in a high‑technology environment where quality and accuracy of work are essential.
