About the Role

This is a phenomenal opportunity to be at the heart of an exciting phase of transforming the way we develop and deliver software to facilitate testing across the whole of the MBDA UK product portfolio. We facilitate robust and timely test of missile systems and ensure MBDA continues to provide a decisive military capability for our home nations and their allies. The Department is responsible for developing and supporting software packages that utilise Test Equipment hardware to configure, verify and validate the conformance and quality of our MBDA UK product range from development, through production and into field test scenarios. We’re a multi-disciplined, dynamic, focused and agile team specialising in all aspects of test solution design, including software, hardware, simulation and real‑time systems. Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building high performing teams. As you’ll also be acting as design authority for the software your team is creating, it is essential you have a proven history in software development – ideally working at a low level using the C language. You’ll also have the ability to create strong working relationships with the multi‑disciplined software project environments within which we work. Additionally, you’ll also have experience of the following:

• Cost estimation
• Planning / scheduling of work
• Managing multiple projects
• Engaging and influencing at a senior level across the business

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven history in software development at low level using C.
• Ability to act as design authority for a software team.
• Experience in cost estimation, planning/scheduling and managing multiple projects.
• Strong relationship building skills across multi‑disciplined teams.
• Experience engaging and influencing senior leadership across the business.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 depending on experience
• Location: Stevenage (relocation package may be offered)
• Dynamic (hybrid) working: Typically 3‑4 days per week on‑site
• Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship
• Company bonus: Up to £2,500 or 21 % of salary (depending on Grade)
