M&C Facilities team leader in Henlow

We're seeking a driven leader to be accountable for the safe and continued operation of EE&F test equipment and calibration activities. The M&C Facilities team leader will manage a multi-disciplinary team that spans maintenance, calibration, fixture design and lab support.

In this leadership role, you will:

• Be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of EE&F test equipment within world‑class laboratories at Stevenage and Henlow.
• Work alongside Facilities Management (FM) to maintain building infrastructure and lab facilities, including management of external contractors and servicing.
• Lead a team (typically 7-8 engineers), managing resources, risks and budgets.
• Gain experience of working alongside a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements and support the Head of M&C Test in developing capabilities.
• Support H&S Manager / Quality Lead to ensure process and equipment compliance.

You'll bring strong project management expertise, a solid understanding of test equipment and the ability to guide a team in a fast‑paced engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in maintenance of test equipment and facilities.
• Experience of maintenance and service contracts.
• Effective planning & project management.
• Effective leadership skills (interpersonal and influencing).
• Ability to develop and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Understanding of wider project and company strategy.

Desirable

• Knowledgeable of the test methods used to perform environmental tests (vibration, shock, thermal, humidity, low pressure etc.).
• Experience supporting capex process.
• Experience with calibration processes.
• Health & Safety background.

Additional Details

• Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience.
• Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4 - 5 days per week on‑site due to workload classification.
