Opportunity

Henlow MBDA Facilities Management is searching for a dynamic safety professional to be part of a growing team working to support and deliver a diverse range of construction and facilities projects.

Salary: Circa £52,000 (dependent on experience) + bonus + benefits. Dynamic working: 3‑4 days per week on‑site due to workload classification (predominantly out of our Stevenage site but regular travel to Bristol and Bolton required). This role is being offered as a fixed term contract for 2 years.

Security Clearance: British Citizen. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the company in self‑delivering the Principal Designer role for small works.
  • Implement CDM2015 regulations and support the Contractor Compliance and CDM Manager to deliver competent advice to the FM Team and wider business.
  • Collate and report statistical information around contractor working.
  • Carry out accident and incident investigations.
  • Conduct inspections on CDM sites and travel across the UK estate to support the wider FM team.
  • Assist and take part in both internal and external audits.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Service Provider to ensure compliance against procedures and regulations.
  • Develop procedures and improve working practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Diploma (Level6 preferred).
  • Membership to IOSH with CPD in place.
  • Understanding of the role of Principal Designer (knowledge of IMaPS/CMaPS would be beneficial).
