MBDA is a leading defence organisation that partners with governments to provide complex weapon systems for the Armed Forces. The Network Communications Engineer will contribute to the design and development of state‑of‑the‑art defence solutions within the Weapon System Design team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Systems Engineering & Network Communications expertise to Complex Weapons Projects.
- Work on Network Enabled Weapons, Platform Communications, Battlefield Communications and Missile‑to‑Missile Communications.
- Engage stakeholders, coordinate technology specialists and deliver weapon systems that support UK and partner nation Armed Forces.
- Lead individual work packages or multi‐disciplinary teams where appropriate, gaining experience and mentoring future engineers.
- Provide technical training in Core Network Communications, Systems Engineering and specialist technologies such as SATCOM, Network Modelling, Network Function Virtualisation and related areas.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree qualification or equivalent experience.
- Systems Engineering experience.
- Network Communications experience.
- Broader engineering management experience is welcome, particularly through leadership of work packages, integration of complex activities or managing technical relationships with customers or suppliers.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: Circa £60,000, depending on experience.
- Company bonus: up to £2,500 (based on company performance).
- Pension: maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%.
