As part of the Physical Systems Design & Certification team, you will help manage the overall physical functionality and certification of the in-service system while supporting the evolution of the weapon system for future customers.
Responsibilities
- A highly motivated self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team on a number of varied tasks.
- A good understanding of systems engineering principles, processes and practices.
- An appreciation of requirements engineering at System, Subsystem or Component level.
- Knowledge associated with the design and build of hardware.
- Awareness of test procedures required to verify products and the gathering of evidence to enable certification (experience working with defence standards, Mil Spec, etc. ideal, especially environmental and EMC).
- Experience preparing and conducting ground trials and gathering evidence from physical activities would be advantageous.
- Confidence in presenting technical engineering information and promoting decision making.
- Experience of technical report writing and use of configuration management tools.
- A logical approach to problem solving.

In either case, you will be building on world-class design: incorporating new ideas, functionality and technology to deliver to our customers.
Salary: Circa £48,000-£53,000 depending on experience.
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
